SMH – Mauritania’s National Oil Company, participated in Gastech 2024 held in Houston, USA, from September 17 to 20, 2024.
A delegation from SMH, led by General Director Ismail Abdel Vetah and including the technical team from Exploration and Projects, had the privilege of showcasing Mauritania’s vast energy potential at SMH Booth A301.
The exhibition and conference presented a valuable platform to engage with industry leaders, partners, and stakeholders, as well as explore exciting investment opportunities in Mauritania’s energy sector.
Mauritania’s Coastal Basin stands as a key region for oil and gas exploration, with significant discoveries such as GTA, BirAllah, and Banda fields. Fields like Pelican, Aigrette, and Comoron are under active evaluation, presenting remarkable growth potential. With 47 exploration wells drilled and extensive seismic data supporting new prospects, the future of Mauritania’s energy industry is bright.
