The Director General of the Société Mauritanienne des Hydrocarbures (SMH), Mr. Ismail Abdel Vettah, accompanied by his team, took part in the Technical and Steering Committee meetings of the Nigeria–Morocco African Atlantic Gas Pipeline (AAGP) project, held on July 10 and 11, 2025, in Rabat.
These high-level meetings brought together the heads of national oil companies from partner countries, along with representatives from regional institutions and Moroccan authorities.
SMH’s participation in these discussions reflects Mauritania’s strong commitment to major regional energy initiatives and its ambition to contribute to the development of an integrated and sustainable energy cooperation framework in West Africa.
