Algeria, December 5th 2025. As part of the ongoing cooperation between the Mauritanian Hydrocarbons Company (SMH) and SONATRACH, and following the recent visit of the Sonatrach Management Academy (SMA) to SMH headquarters in Nouakchott, the Chairman and members of SMH’s Board of Directors carried out a successful experience-sharing mission in Algeria from 5 to 13 December 2025.
Hosted by the Sonatrach Management Academy, the programme focused on SONATRACH’s governance and management approach for oil and gas resources. Through working sessions and in-depth discussions with SMA leaders and experts, the SMH delegation explored best practices in strategic steering, organizational models, performance monitoring, and skills development, an initiative aligned with SMH’s drive to strengthen its management tools and support the sustainable growth of Mauritania’s energy sector.
