During the visit of the SMH delegation to Egypt, efforts were made towards strengthening energy cooperation and the development of energy projects in Mauritania. A fruitful discussion with great perspectives focused on the ways and means to develop the Banda field into a gas to power project. These discussions were organized by TAQA Arabia, GoGas Holding and Cheiron Petroleum Corporation. We reviewed the different plans and strategies capable of developing the deposit to produce electricity.
We discussed possibilities for the use of gas in the mining sector, particularly in iron ore mining. In this context, SMH intends to build strategic partnerships in order to make the most of our energy resources.
