Nouakchott, February 10, 2026 — Société Mauritanienne des Hydrocarbures (SMH) welcomed the Executive Director of the Global Gas Centre (GGC), an international non-profit organization based in Geneva that brings together decision-makers and experts from across the gas value chain to promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and a sustainable energy transition.
The visit included a working session with SMH’s Director General, Dr. Mohamed Lemine Raghani, focused on presenting the company’s strategic projects and reviewing prospects for cooperation between the two institutions. Discussions highlighted opportunities to strengthen synergies, share expertise, and support structuring energy projects in Mauritania.
