The Société Mauritanienne des Hydrocarbures (SMH) took part in the second edition of the National Energy Forum (NEF), held in Nouakchott under the theme: “Energy Sovereignty and the Potential of the Extractive Sector.”
On this occasion, SMH Director General, Dr. Mohamed-Lemine Raghani, attended the official opening ceremony of this major event, which brought together key stakeholders from the energy sector, national and international partners, and young Mauritanian talents involved in the fields of oil, gas, and energy.
As a Platinum Sponsor of the forum, SMH showcased a strong presence through its institutional stand, which attracted significant interest and served as a platform for exchanges on sector opportunities, local content development, national capacity building, and Mauritania’s energy prospects.
SMH representatives also actively participated in the various panels and discussions dedicated to energy sovereignty, project financing, local content development, gas resources, renewable energies, and green hydrogen, contributing to the ongoing reflections on the future of Mauritania’s energy sector.
