As part of efforts to strengthen energy cooperation between Mauritania and Algeria, a delegation from the Algerian company SONATRACH and the Mauritanian Hydrocarbons Company (SMH) conducted a field visit this evening to the *GTA petroleum logistics base, operated by *SEPCO INDUSTRIES, located in the port area of Nouakchott.
A Mauritanian company specialized in oil and gas logistics, SEPCO INDUSTRIES plays a strategic role in supporting hydrocarbon-related operations, particularly in the logistical support of the GTA gas field.
The delegations received detailed briefings on the storage infrastructure, safety systems, and the facilities’ capacity for reception, warehousing, and handling—integrating the latest technologies in the sector.
This visit allowed the CEO of SONATRACH and his delegation to appreciate the high level of organization, the strict application of HSE standards, and the efficient use of information technologies in logistics management. These performance levels were praised for their professionalism and alignment with the most demanding international standards.
